Darkos II
Resurrecting an old friend.
Gotta find him a model.
After Darkos scores a kill or an assist on an enemy hero, that hero becomes Infuriated, increasing the damage they deal to Darkos as well as the damage Darkos deals to them by 10%.
A Hero can remove their Infuriated status by scoring a kill or assist on Darkos. However, should Darkos score a kill or an assist on an Infuriated enemy, that enemy will permanently become Humiliated. Humiliated enemies can no longer become Infuriated, and empower Darkos' abilities.
Get killed by a clown once, you might have messed up. Get killed by a clown twice, something is up.

2 upcoming heroes from Reddit
After seeing his post on Reddit, I've decided to ask Liam Jobson if we could use some of his concepts, and he said yes! So here are 2 that I chose formatted and tweaked for VotE, so we can have some feedback (I'll also need to find models for them).
Tentative Ayler rework
Our winged friend always suffered from some problems. First being that he always has been a bit too strong, but also his kit is kind of bland, you just on enemy, him, then spam some . So here I'm gonna try to make up something that fits with his indentity (ramping up over the fight mostly) and adding some "meaningful choices". Those are overall pretty light in the grand scheme of things, but it will tweak things around to make him a bit different. Note that this does not come with changes to or , because I think these only need number tuning.

Algron, the Brimstone Golem
Algron is a hero with this model.
Slow but steady, Algron has been created to withstand large amounts of damage while returning the favor with his immense Bonecrusher club. But his true potential is unleashed in prolonged fights, where he can overwhelm even the beefiest target by outright ignoring part of their armor with every third attack. But that's not all. By using said third attack for an ability instead, he can become more than the sum of the parts that created him by stunning the target for a longer time, pushing back every other enemy that isn't his main focus or even use the heat of the earth itself to enhance his brimstone machinations for a short time, attacking faster at the cost of his health.
In short, when Algron gets his mom…
Lore Supervisor talks about lore 1
Well, I just wanted to talk about the current state of VotE's lore...
Given the nature of MOBA-games, it's obvious that lore doesn't really have a good place to begin with because the fight "resets" with each new match and heroes can be on both sides of a battle, even arch-rivals being able and capable of covering each other's back. Heck, a / duo lane might even work pretty well. I initially handwaved it by mentioning in passing that the battle for the Prime Gate is basically confusing in itself and people switch sides all the time because of personal reasons, being mercenaries, being undecided in whom to follow or plain simple brainwashing/converting. It still doesn't explain how a Duskbringer would ever fight for the Empire, but it seemed…

Farien - the Soldier of Fortune

This song pretty much sums up what you're about to witness
FREAKING SHOTGUN, THIS GUY HAS A FREAKING SHOTGUN. We've had a lot, underage lady slashing people with fans, stoned stone golem, siren riding a motorcycle, this time, FREAKING SHOTGUN. Here I would say how the gameplay of his would play out, but do you need any explanation? Tough guy with a shotgun, that just speaks for itself. But here it is anyway: to make the shotgun feel like a shotgun, more damage at close range, fairly short ranges overall, lots of burst coupled with some cc and survivabillity, to make him feel exactly how he should.(of course giving a tough guy with a heavy shotgun a fairly long ranged dash every 2 seconds is a realistic design, what's your problem?) Dedwill, the Hammer of the Solsworn
Uses Uther's model because well, it's the coolest of all the paladin ones

Yuvana - the Priestess of Blood
[Model~]
Yet again, a support, how original. This time, I decided to show a healer class from an entirely diffrent point of view. Rather than a regular celestial being which goes like "I'll heal you my child, don't worry, with me you'll be able to afk farm as much as possible", here we have a witch doctor that just goes like "I'M LITERALLY KILLING MYSELF FOR YOU TO MOVE YOUR ASS OVER THERE AND KILL THOSE BASTARDS, NOW". That's the whole shtick with Yuvana, a high risk high reward support with some really MEANINGFUL risks to be taken, in order to lead her team to victory. With some good mix of sustain, buffs, and area control, she ensures that the lane will be kept in check, and her carry will dominate as long as they coordinate their action…
Evarashi, the Wandering Druid
Evarashi is a hero made by SirAston with this model.
The Wandering Druid summons aid from nearby forest wisps to dominate her enemies, giving her a natural advantage at the Prime Gate. Those wisps act as turrets, but unlike other turret-users, those can't stall a lane or otherwise be a hindrance while moving around, meaning her presence is required to use the full potential of her turrets. But that's what Evarashi wants anyway, as she is empowered by the presence of her wisps.
Her playstyle resolves around careful placement of her Protector Wisps and staying in their range whenever possible to quickly deal with a minion wave or provide a meaningful edge in teamfights. Gust of Change allows to focus down on an enemy and keeping him in turret ran…
Yet another item overhaul
For quite some time I've had a lot of suggestions for new items in mind, but they were either stuck in my sandbox, or I didn't really shared anything about them. Today, I had decided to release a new volume of my item suggestions, collecting all of those suggestions I wanted to share lately.
Now, I'm not gonna lie, that was one of the Lykrast's ideas actually... but I still kinda wanted to already start theorycrafting this item's potential build path/stats. I still think that I did a rather good job of making a support item with a strong active that saves people's asses all day. Overall no support hero who'd like to go for this item will greatly enjoy the active, and surely won't mind additional stats this item grants.
That's all I've got fo…

Don't pay much attention to that on the right for now, it's explained a bit below, and is only so high cause it takes some place.
In Warcraft III, spells are made in the object editor, and actually can only be default spells with values tweaked around. This means that the vast majority of abilities in VotE actually CANNOT be done in the object editor alone.
But that doesn't mean we won't need it. In our case, needs 3 spells defined in the object editor :
- The main spell (learned and cast by the hero) : it is based on the Tauren Chiefta…

Shelved heroes
As you might have seen, some heroes have been put in a "shelved heroes" categories, namely , , and . This means that they won't be worked on or put into the map for an undeterminate amount of time.
Why I've done this is mostly because some of their kits just doesn't feel right or compelling, and/or they have mechanics which would require a huge amount of work for something that isn't that great.
I know I'll have trouble explaining myself on that, and I know some of you may not be happy with that, but I hope you'll at least understand why I could have thought that is a good idea.
Until then, have a good day.

Mephala - the Bounty Hunter
[Model~]
So, as you've probably guessed, this lady over here is a Bounty Hunter! However, I decided to deliver this theme in a little diffrent way... Bounty Hunter are usually carries, bruisers, stealthy assassins, meanwhile, Mephala is a support. Yes, an Agillity based greedy, furious, blood hungry, cutthroat Support. Obviously while keeping Bounty Hunter's main identity (chasing people until you murder them) I decided to give her a bit more team-wide utillity and still keeping the everlasting snowball mechanics to make her feel like an actual Bounty Hunter. That is, she will sacrifice some damage for it (1v1'ing people might not be that easy if she isn't ridiculously ahead), this shouldn't be that big of a deal. And besides, Diversity.

Ganglione Rework
Let's face it, he needs one.

- What's changed: He gained a new, less boring innate (which the entire kit now depends on), leagues more firepower (through AP-scaling physical skills), and lower cooldowns to play up its annoyance role in lane. Tier list (an off-topic project to make our game look more competetive (mlg memes))
So, since we already started establishing some real meta here, I thought that it'll be a good idea to start making some tier lists!
This not only makes our mod look more serious from the competetive side (should we even care about this factor?), but, this experiment may also give us some useful information on how we should balance out the heroes!

Those chumps don't have stats most of the time, but then again, it's a different engine and different math now, so it's not required. Important are only the abilities and if they're possible in VotE.
http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/User:SirAston#Custom_chumps Here's the list.
I could make a short description of every chump, but I'm currently too busy for that, sorry. (Most of the concepts aren't that doable in VotE anyway)
And yeah, Herculeon, the Shining Lion WAS the template for our Herculeon. *puts on sunglasses* Deal with it.
Old LoL-concepts
Since it's apparently fashionable to link old stuff at the moment, here's a list of my old concepts on the LoL wiki, along with a short description and links, in case someone wants to look at them for inspiration. Note that those are all old so if I sound like I'm hating on them it's just "looking at your old stuff" effect in effect. Do read the quotes sections for those who have one because I self-brattingly am great at writing corny lines (or blatantly stealing referencing cool stuff, at least).

KFC 1 - Largu, the Nauseating Imp
Largu is a hero suggestion made by SirAston for the KFC 1.
}}
Largu/The clone jumps at target Veteran, dealing physical damage and marking the target for 2 seconds if it's an enemy. Getting damaged by Humpy Jump while marked deals additional magic damage and slows the target by 35% for 2 seconds.

Largu/the clone creates a mushroom right behind him that stealths itself after 3 seconds. When an enemy Veteran gets into the mushroom's range after it becomes stealthed, it explodes, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies that scales with their respective armor. The mushroom also explodes if the one who didn't create the mushroom moves within range.

A bunch of old concepts
As some of you might know, I did other maps before (which are in french obviously). Those maps have some heroes too, some being interesting, some less (but generally pretty ). So just in case you wanna get inspiration, here are them. You are welcome to leave comments about how you think their kits are, just for the fun of it.
- Note : the map is a very small single lane.
- Note : heroes on this map don't have innates.
- Note : balance there is different than in VotE (obviously).
- Note : a lot of the base stats aren't coherent with the kit.
- Note : things are loosely translated from french, expect some mispelling or errors.
Darkos, the Dark Darklord (of Darkness)
Role: Darkos is best played as Darkos. While he can be used in other roles, they're simply not edgy enough to make full use of his abilities.
model here (probably, I haven't really found a sufficiently silly dark wizard)
More seriously: this is a mid-range AP bruiser (think ryze).
(maximum 100 bonus AP). Stacks stop being consumed once Darkos reaches the maximum bonus AP.
}} }}
Darkos fires his patented Dark Blasttm at target enemy, dealing magic damage. Darkblast! can be slightly improved replaced by new abilities with a totally different flavour through Darko's E, I really like Darkblasts.

Darkos speeds up for to 4 seconds. He also gains bonus movement speed based on his Dark …
Kit Forging Contest
Thanks Aston for the name!
So anyway, there is this model I randomly found, and would like to put it in the map, only problem is that my imagination sucks, so here is your chance to prove you can do things good... I gues...
To mark your blog as a contest entry, just add "KFC - " before the standard title and post its link in the comments below. Now here are the "rules" (which are mostly derived from the model) :
- One entry per person
- He is evil
- He is melee
- He is probably Strength (maybe Agility? but he has too much muscles I guess)
For the deadline, I'd say within a month (18th of July reported to until Aston posts his kit), but we might decide the winner earlier if everyone who wants to participate already has their entry done.
Don't worry if you l…
Kholdon, the Heartless Wrath
- NOT spellchecked (yet).
Role: Hyper-carry. With low base stats but great stat gains and a level-scaling stats passive, that hero should focus on last-hitting with spells and attacks in the early-game, while using Q to gain much need stats. In the lategame, the great stat gains and innate will kick in, as the hero mercilessly chases enemies down, slowing them and refreshing its innate with Q and E. model here

Well, now that we have , I think it's time to really think of some itemization options for them. This blog post will mostly focus on some active items and gold generation items as for starters. Let's begin.
Poke/passive path
Passive: All allied units within 800 unit radius recieve an additional + 1 mana regeneration. (Including the holder)
Recipe: + Gold (150)
Total cost: 450
Context: Basically a mana manipulator. In a game where everyone's early mana regeneration is awfully pitful, this can really come in handy in some compositions, and can later on transition int…
Thessalac, the Essence Reaver
Thessalac is a hero suggestion made by SirAston using this model. Warning: Since it has been a long time since my last contribution, I may be rusty and will most likey don't get numbers right at all.
An INT-centric melee assassin who becomes more powerful with every kill he delivers or notices nearby. The early-to-midgame acquirable Ectoshot opens up a whole new playstyle where he not only increases his zoning potential, but also gains a reliable source of magic damage.
His high STR for someone INT-based ensures that he can survive the early game somewhat, but he'll lose that advantage fast if he can't trigger his Stench of Murder and his AGI isn't high enough to make a defensive build worthwhile for long. That said, if he manages to farm som…
